OK, I’m sorry but this deserves a pre-Christmas blog post. It’s amazing. I have just discovered EXIFTool, an amazing cross-platform tool for editing metadata in photos. Combined with the LensTagger plugin for Lightroom this helps me overcome an issue I had with vintage and third party lenses on Leica cameras. Now I can properly include the lens type in the metadata which is pretty rad.

But there’s more! I can also include camera, scanner, film and even paper type information for scanned images made using analogue cameras and even my wide selection of instant cameras!

A few friends in the community hadn’t heard of it so I thought I’d share it here!
